4. Repair what shows up
With the garage empty, damage that has been hidden for years usually turns up. Cracks get routed and filled, chipped areas and the door threshold get rebuilt.
5. Base coat and heavy flake

6. Topcoat, cure, reload
Clear topcoat goes on, then the floor cures. Walking on it comes first, rolling shelving and vehicles back in comes later — and putting heavy equipment back too early is the most common way a good floor gets marked.
